The second season of High School DxD is much more action-packed and epic than the first, so why am I giving it one star less? Well, it was because I was completely satisfied with the ending of the first season, and somehow I could not shake the feeling that this follow-up was only about setting up a well-presented narrative. At times it almost felt like it was unnecessarily drawn out. Sure, the plot was well-developed, although I honestly still kind of felt like it was just a rehash of something that perhaps made a lot of sense to me but also felt pointless. Plus, there were a lot of new characters, and I mean a lot, so I got quite lost trying to follow it. 6/10. ()
