English By developing the plot, the film Girl House plays on psychological horror, but it really isn't that. In the end, it's just an ordinary slasher, where the birth of the villain is overly emphasized, but it turns out to be quite effective. The girls are quite attractive here, except for the fact that some of them are artificially enhanced. Overall, I'm rather disappointed because there could have been much more squeezed out of it than was achieved. ()

English Well, it's definitely decided, the best horror film of the year so far is here and I don't think we will see a better slasher this year. Who would have expected such a low-key poster and unoriginal title to produce such a superb affair. The Recent dud Wyrmwood can go cry in a corner without question. The first hour is very impressive, the beautiful girls monitored non-stop in the villa, so there is no shortage of stripping, provocation, seduction and eye-pleasing nudity! Then the decent terror begins, led by an excellent villain like a modern Leatherface (I'm not kidding, the mask, the movements, the reactions, I was only waiting for when he pulls a chainsaw out from behind his back) who gets angry and takes everything into his own hands. From this point on, the ultimate ride begins, one with pace and, although not all the murders are as juicy and bloody as they could be, none of them offend. I haven't had this much fun in a long time. 80%. ()

English For a slasher, it’s good. It has well portrayed and likeable characters, good craftsmanship, a psychopath that demands some respect and murders that, well, aren’t very creative, but I’ve seen much worse. From the name, the poster and the blurb I was expecting some amateur trash relying only on those girls, but in the end it actually works really well as a solid film murder-fest. One of the surprises of the year. ()

English Girlhouse is everything a bunch of teen viewers could want with their popcorn on a Friday night. Bikini babes of all races and sexual archetypes, webcams, a civil and beautiful female protagonist, her likable boyfriend/protector, a wacky pervert and a bloody slaughter. Girlhouse is a strange combination of creative contradictions. The screenplay works creatively with all of the characters and entertains with surprising details despite the formulaic plot. At the same time, it bears the embarrassing marks of amateurish filmmaking and frequent stupidity. Its greatest asset is the killer, who outdoes even the more ponderous Leatherface with his speed and radicalism. The brutality of the slaughter in the movie’s final third is a surprising outcome of the previous refined introduction of the characters, which creates another interesting contrast that sets Girlhouse apart from other, similar movies.
