English I especially like how the series manages to transition between different time periods seamlessly. This film follows Ip Man in his later years, when he is already a renowned teacher, notably of Bruce Lee. In this film, we don't encounter the character of Bruce Lee at all. Nevertheless, the film succeeds in creating another dramatic story, once again intertwined with politics that heavily impacted Ip Man's life. Yet he could still do what he wanted and what he loved. The film is essentially a meditation, quieter than other films, which is influenced by Ip Man's age. It's definitely not the action spectacle that you might expect after the previous films. When the old man gets involved, though, it's worth it. It could, however, stand to have some different themes instead of constantly repeating the same ones. ()
