English Dear France, I’m not feeling so good, I’m really not. You tell me a sad story, include animals in it so that it has a bigger impact on my emotions and then you knowingly put an end to it at the right time to completely take me down with the final scene. I was awfully sad after the movie, I couldn’t breathe, but that doesn’t change the fact that the music was absolutely beautiful and the acting performances were perfect. That’s also why you’ll have a place in my heart and force me to think about this movie. The world can be so cruel – “This life is a lost boon if you don’t live it as you wanted to.” ()

English The power of the influential brings together an interesting pair. The sensitive big kid Marlène Jobert, who took nice legs from Rain, and the tough guy Lino Ventura, who unexpectedly often manages a smile beneath those puppy-dog eyes. The last half hour lifts it up with either the raw street brawl, where you feel every punch, or the finale that reveals the vulnerability of those involved and brings disillusionment from feelings of exploitation and loss. Well, for some of them. Leonetti seemed glad he wasn’t suffering alone… It’s probably clear where Robbie Williams “borrowed” the start for the song "Supreme." ()

English José Giovanni owes a lot to the French crime school, and he was a king among French screenwriters in this genre. The script for Last Known Address had the potential for a really strong film, but Giovanni's direction is weak, and he simply wasn't as solid in this area and as a result, the film ended up being only slightly above average, further undermined by Marlene Jobert's character and performance as the partner of the retiring police inspector. Jobert is quite bothersome in my opinion. Her character seems to have mistakenly come from a completely different movie and stands out like a sore thumb. Jobert has been in worse films, but here, the reliable Lino Ventura saves the day in the role of the tough, experienced detective. Overall impression: 60%. ()
