After several years on Smallville, Michael Rosenbaum established himself quite well as an actor, but this time he decided to create a role for himself. So he wrote and directed a comedy called Back in the Day. The beginning develops quite well, but about halfway through, it devolves into a crude, nasty, and vulgar comedy, similar to what Adam Sandler often delivers. However, in Sandler's case, the connection with friends is a bit stronger. It's as if Nick Swardson was referring to this fact. By the end, it becomes truly embarrassing, and not even the "different" ending can save it.
