Drinking Buddies

Okay, I've been thinking for quite a while that this movie just can't win me over, but in the end, it managed to do so. It's nice to see when actors really perform, and you can tell they are enjoying their roles. This casual style really suits me, and I'm glad to finally see Olivia in a movie where her abilities truly shine. By the way, Olivia and Anna in one movie is almost like a dream come true. Both are excellent, as is Jake Johnson. This movie relies on its actors, who elevate it even though it's essentially just about how life sometimes sucks and sometimes doesn't. (12/10/2013)

2 stars for not trying to be a standard romantic comedy and telling the story as it would probably happen in real life (a film with a maximum concentration of well, umm, yeah,...). But the rest of the movie? It is basically about nothing. Well, actually, it's about beer. Watching an American sip his beer as if it was hot coffee is simply priceless. (08/24/2013)
