The "black sheep" son (Scott Speedman) of a wealthy family meets a young psychiatric patient (Evan Rachel Wood) who's been raised in isolation her entire life. He takes the naive young woman home for his brother's wedding to convince his family that he's finally straightened out his life. She impresses the family with her genuine, if unstable charm. Along the way they fall into an improbable love. (Signature Entertainment)

English When I realized after a few minutes that I had actually seen this movie and that it's actually a remake of the German film Barefoot, to which I gave 85%, I couldn't believe the atrocities the Americans committed in this film. Instead of making a slightly different romance like the Germans did well, this is just a classic romance trying to convince us it's deeper because it involves a promiscuous man and a quirky girl. Speedman and Wood excellently demonstrate how bad they are as actors because compared to Schweiger and Wokalek, they are absolutely pitiful. They have no depth. This is one of the most shocking things I've seen in a long time. And I regularly watch B-grade shit... ()
