"Masters of Sex" sheds a light on the professional and personal lives of Dr. William Masters and Virginia Johnson. Together they become pioneers in the science of sex by undertaking a groundbreaking study of the physiological aspect of the human sexual response. As with most visionaries, their personal lives are arguably more fascinating, complex, and revealing than the risqué research that touched off the sexual revolution and took them from a mid-western hospital to the cover of Time magazine. The drama is heightened by the surrounding cast of hospital coworkers, loved ones and neighbors struggling to comprehend and find their place in the brave new world of Masters and Johnson. Below the Belt (2014) (S02E10)

English As Bill Masters' problem reaches a critical stage, Dr. Langham is forced to make the ultimate sacrifice. The focus shifts away from the study, but the storyline remains engaging and entertaining. However, the excellent atmosphere is starting to fade from the series. ()

The Revolution Will Not Be Televised (2014) (S02E12)

English I'm a bit puzzled why the creators saved the best for the last two episodes. It's a shame they didn't take this approach for the entire season, which had quite a few dull moments compared to the first. I was beginning to worry that the script was running out of steam. However, the finale definitely delivered. ()

Season 3 (2015) (S03)

English To my surprise I liked the third season much more than the second one. I found it much tighter, and the quality of the episodes didn’t fluctuate like in the previous one. I would say that it’s comparable to the excellent first season. The main difference is that the first season focused more on the study, while the third one was mainly about relationships. I was afraid it would make me lose interest in the series but thankfully the creators refused to turn it into a cheap romance and I'm still having a great time. ()

Three's a Crowd (2015) (S03E02)

English I was worried they'd drag out Virginia's pregnancy over several episodes, but the creators worked their time-manipulating magic and, in my opinion, it really benefited the story. Bill's rendition of "Danny Boy" was absolutely perfect. ()

Undue Influence (2015) (S03E04)

English #The whole book-selling situation was pretty amusing, but Bill trying to be friendly? That was something else. Even the Terminator could show more emotion. This episode focused more on the side characters' relationships, but it totally worked. ()

Monkey Business (2015) (S03E07)

English I had a blast with this episode. The lethargic gorilla, looking like it just got back from a 16-hour shift in the mines, had some unique sexual habits that were absolutely hilarious. Plus, Dr. Langham's return as the inseminator was spot on. ()

Through a Glass, Darkly (2015) (S03E10)

English Bill might be a brilliant scientist, but his personal life is slipping through his fingers. This episode really shows how alcohol can cloud even the sharpest minds. As we approach the end of the third season, I have to say, the show continues to be thoroughly entertaining. ()

Season 4 (2016) (S04)

English The fourth season nicely picked up where the third one left off and focused more on the relationships between the characters. The study only served as a kind of background to the stories. I had already realized in the previous season that the series works well without the main focus on the study, but I was surprised again at how much fun I had. Particularly the character of Elizabeth has undergone a significant transformation, and certainly not in a bad way. ()

Inventory (2016) (S04E02)

English A tiny bit weaker than the previous episode, but for this show, that still means it was fantastic. Some series feel too long even with just six episodes, but here I'm thoroughly enjoying myself well into the fourth season. ()

The Pleasure Protocol (2016) (S04E03)

English The split of the clinic went surprisingly smoothly, and the new assistants seem to be working out well. However, finding answers to some seemingly simple questions proves to be tricky. Also, I was horrified to discover that attending an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting isn't always as anonymous as you'd think. ()

Coats or Key (2016) (S04E04)

English Episode four is one of my favorites. This surprise party, or rather parties, was brilliantly executed by the creators. I laughed and enjoyed myself from start to finish, especially with Bill, who was absolutely perfect at granting wishes. Lester also shined, choosing the right words at just the right moments. ()

Family Only (2016) (S04E06)

English The ending was a letdown. Helen's death felt like an obvious ploy to tug at heartstrings without serving any real purpose. Up until now, the creators had done a good job avoiding overly sentimental scenes. ()

In to Me You See (2016) (S04E07)

English Even though new teams are forming at the clinic, a new study is on the horizon, and Virginia is gearing up to fight those exploiting her and Bill's work, it feels like the show is missing some spark. I also have a hunch that the subplot with Dody might end up being unnecessary. ()

Topeka (2016) (S04E08)

English This was a solid episode that I enjoyed overall. However, just as I suspected, the subplot with Dody felt unnecessary and didn’t engage me at all. Because of that, I had to dock a star, despite Dr. Langham’s new business venture adding some interest. ()

The Eyes of God (2016) (S04E10)

English Lester's congratulatory message was truly unique and unforgettable, definitely a standout moment. The episode was packed with events and provided a fitting conclusion to both this season and the entire series. I especially appreciated the final photograph, which allowed the creators to avoid a sentimental ending. ()
