English The classic framework - a guy falls in love with a woman who has a somewhat pedantic father who doesn't just accept anyone. So the guy has to introduce himself to the dad, and that's what the whole plot is based on. Craig Robinson is quite funny, but at the same time, he can be annoying in some instances. Peeples is a straightforward romance that doesn't surprise in any way. Kerry Washington is a nice change of pace because she's simply beautiful. Otherwise, it's business as usual. One positive aspect is that it generally doesn't have a lot of overacting, which is often a problem in African-American comedies. For this, it definitely earns a few positive points. It’s not worth more than 40%, though. ()
