A family film about children without parents ending up in the wilderness with their dog. Without that dog, things would have turned out pretty badly. I quite liked the bold animal scenes in the film, but it doesn't change the fact that it follows a familiar formula. Of course, it also addresses relationships between parents and the father's relationship with the children, which weren't entirely okay before the children disappeared. It’s more so below average.
