It Felt Like Love

Trailer

Plots(1)

A suggestive, sensitively non-sentimental, poetic and realistic film depicting the fragility and dangerousness of the life of a young girl growing up in Brooklyn in few summer days. Her effort to have the same sexual experiences as her older friends is a dangerous motivation. The director works with amateur actors and stresses the atmosphere rather than a direct storyline and emphasizes small and demeaning details, inner desires, despair and self-deceit. English This film has incredible power in its presentation, in how uncompromisingly it adheres to its style, and in how it literally pushes onto the viewer, conveying that subtly melancholic mood that deepens gradually. It's like you wouldn't want to live in this world because something is wrong, and everything beautiful quickly turns into something ugly and unpleasant, something from which the pleasant must be forcefully extracted. And sometimes there's simply not enough strength. ()
