English Geography Club is an enjoyable film that combines dramatic and comedic elements quite effectively, and deals with a number of topical issues, like sexual minorities, bullying and interpersonal relationships. Story-wise, the film doesn't offer anything unseen, but it does have a few memorable scenes, both humorous (the care of the doll) and serious (the character of Brian), which detract from its dry dullness, helped by a not-so-typical ending. Better three stars! ()

English A film about a group of people who don't have it easy in life. Because they are different. They differ at first glance, or perhaps at second glance. Either they're odd-looking at first glance, or they're cats, but they're gay. You can live with that, but even today's times are not very kind to them. Let alone at school. If this gets out, it's gonna be a big problem. That's why they are put together in a geographical ring, which is of course just a cover. The relationships are handled pretty standardly, but it's watchable if you don't have preconceived notions. It's just not great. But it is good. I'm sure the book is more interesting. ()
