Plots(1)

It's the ultimate buddy cop movie except for one thing: they're not cops. When two struggling pals dress as police officers for a costume party, they become neighborhood sensations. But when these newly-minted "heroes" get tangled in a real life web of mobsters and dirty detectives, they must put their fake badges on the line. (20th Century Fox UK)

English I’m glad that good American comedies can be made by people that I personally have no clue about. Like Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans Jr., who aren’t exactly familiar faces I’d see on TV a lot. Just like I don’t really know the director Luke Greenfield. The result was unparalleled. Two idiots have nothing to do and so they start to pretend they’re cops. It’s just as stupid as it sounds, but on the other hand, it’s a whole lot of fun. ()

English Great! The humour is more situational, but maybe that suits me better. Great choice of actors, Damon Wayans is a similar fool as his brothers. Even though it's clichéd and only the idea is original, it's an incredibly funny movie and I rolled on the carpet laughing at least three times and played the scenes at least ten times to recover, that rarely happens to me!! I also enjoyed the great choice of music during the action or every funny scene and the excellent comedian Keegan-Michael Key, whom I only know from his five-minute short videos and that alone won me over to director Luke Greenfield for casting him in the film and giving him the opportunity to further his career. Anyone who hasn't laughed at this film is not human. Perfect stuff. ()

English In the end, the comedy actually made quite an impression on me, despite my initial expectations that it would be very bad, with a lot of overacting and not much sense to it. It makes sense, even if the story isn't particularly compelling. It's well executed and comfortably reaches an above-average level. I quite enjoy the members of the Wayans family, when they're not overacting. ()
