English I'm happy to give three stars, because not only is The Remaining the most interesting horror film of the last 14 days, but also a nice revival of the now exhausted found footage genre. The trailer promised more, though. The first 40 minutes were great, the uncontrollable chaos, the anarchy, the earthquakes, the falling icebergs, the fallen angels all made a very attractive impression on me. After that the pace slows down a bit, the relocation to the church hurts the film a lot, but fortunately there was no boredom. The final digital orgy makes it clear that there could be a sequel, and if it gets a much higher budget, we have a lot to look forward to! 55% ()

English It starts as a pretty fun B-movie, but the moment the creators ran out of money (and the plot moves from the streets to a church), it turns into a borefest where a couple of young adults deal with their relationship with God and with each other, which is terribly annoying. Really, the first half hour was a pleasant surprise, but by the end I was only raising my eyebrows in disapproval. ()

English The Remaining seems like an intriguing disaster movie, but in reality, it's just a film with one idea, which is spread into a fairly typical plot. An idea that is religiously annoying and boring, and unoriginal at its core. The characters stop entertaining you very soon, and you’ll find that it's nothing worth watching. ()
