Angel of the Skies

Another war story, where it's not just about the battles, but also about human lives. I mean that it deals with the relationships between individuals amidst the battles. It's just another diluted version of Pearl Harbor or Dark Blue World, complete with all their drawbacks. True, there aren't many positives, although it must be noted that the visuals are quite nicely adapted to the era and the conflict, with predominantly grey tones. On the other hand, was it just me, or were those airplanes mostly digital? Story-wise, it's boring, and the action is equally dull. Considering that the day before I watched the action-packed and realistic Lone Survivor, Angel of the Skies just couldn't measure up. And that's me being lenient on the actors. (01/21/2014)
