Man on High Heels

At last, the highly anticipated action flick Man on High Heels has been released, but I'm also slightly underwhelmed. I was quite bothered by the longer running time and the rather uninteresting and tedious story, but I can praise the awesome action!! The protagonist is calm, fast, likable, an ex-cop who hates handcuffs and guns and solves everything with his hands and knives. There are only four action sequences, but each one is brutal and well filmed, I especially praise the perfect umbrella fight accompanied by slow motion and the excellent fifteen minute bloody finale, where the main character uses a decent fatality and takes out the whole house by himself. The downside is the slower pace, but the action is worth the wait. 75% (11/18/2014)
