Back in 1944, Germans hid gold off the coast of Corsica. The sole survivor, Schlumpf, comes back a few years later. Someone tries to kidnap him but he is saved by Dromart, aka "the monocle," who winds up at the center of plots concocted by the British, Russians, Germans and even the French.
