Border Guard officers are killed in a bomb attack in the Bieszczady Mountains. Only one of them survives. Many people are determined to discover the truth.
The Pack is a story about border guards in the Bieszczady but also about a place which determines specific attitudes and behaviours. The story starts with a bomb attack which kills officers from a Border Guard unit deployed in the Bieszczady Mountains. Only one of them survives. Captain Rebrow (Leszek Lichota) loses his friends and his beloved Ewa in the attack. Feeling confused, he tries to get at the bottom of the assault and find out who is the mastermind behind the bombing. His commanders are also determined to reveal the truth. The official investigation is led by the prosecutor's office.

In the first series, uncompromising, depressive, and quite confusing drama from the very nice environment of Polish national parks on the border of Poland, Ukraine, and Slovakia. Fortunately, each series has six episodes, so it was bearable. The second and third series are really worth it. The characters are still relatively annoying, unpleasant, and irritating, but I actually started to enjoy the story revolving around local immigrants. The first series gets two stars, the second and third get four stars each, together a solid three-star rating.
