English Švejk in Russian Captivity turned out better than Švejk at the Front, but I still preferred Lamač's first film, The Good Soldier Švejk. Svatopluk Innemann directed Russian Captivity, and the new direction benefited the series. It's packed with humor that works, the short film definitely doesn't bore, and overall, there's plenty to laugh at and enjoy. ()
