English Ishirô Honda stepped away from the classic monsters and made something a bit different, adventurous, and quirky, probably to give himself a bit of a break. In the end, he did well because he needed to explore something a bit different. Latitude Zero simply turned out well for him; it is sufficiently action-packed, adventurous, and interesting. The American co-production added a good spice to it, and the American and Japanese styles were appropriately blended here. ()
