Benedek Pálma, the spoilt daughter of the rich manufacturer, is a true monster in the house. The house staff flee her and even her father can hardly wait to marry her off. Once, when she roams about in town, Jámbor Pál stops with his car beside hers at a cross-roads, having taken a liking to her. Accidentally they meet again and the young man proposes to her, but the girl refuses him. Pál and Pálma's father pretend bankruptcy. They tell her that all the bills are in Pál's hands and that he will only spare the father from bankruptcy if Pálma marries him. The girl is willing to sacrifice herself for the sake of her father and marries Jámbor, who sets out to turn her into a loving and lovely wife. (official distributor synopsis)
