English Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster is a groundbreaking film in terms of story, at least within the entire Godzilla series. What I didn't like were some of the effects. It's evident that the Japanese also aimed for some lightheartedness and sprinkled in a few jokes here and there, but the movements of the monsters aren't as graceful anymore, and it's painfully obvious when there's a person in the lizard costume. It's a bit surprising that the effects are still done by the same legendary Eiji Tsuburaya. But this is still great monster fun for kaiju movie lovers. And not only for them. ()
