Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster is a groundbreaking film in terms of story, at least within the entire Godzilla series. What I didn't like were some of the effects. It's evident that the Japanese also aimed for some lightheartedness and sprinkled in a few jokes here and there, but the movements of the monsters aren't as graceful anymore, and it's painfully obvious when there's a person in the lizard costume. It's a bit surprising that the effects are still done by the same legendary Eiji Tsuburaya. But this is still great monster fun for kaiju movie lovers. And not only for them.
