English I can't write about such an atypical chapter without minor spoilers. The B-movie direction of American Horror Story: 1984 and American Horror Story: Double Feature pushed the series into a dead end, where it was necessary to get serious and come up with a story that (exaggeratedly) makes sense. And the result is the experience of a sweltering metropolis where someone is killing people and someone else is too. The two storylines intertwine until they eventually separate, and while one of them fits into the American Horror Story universe, the other divides the audience with great force. Ryan Murphy has come up with Angels in America(n Horror Story) and although I would expect an experience like this in some other anthology or maybe in Pose, somehow the mystery torments, moves, and excites you in a completely different way than any previous series – and it works. Despite intentionally confusing the viewer's expectations with the script, thanks to the brilliant final episode, it brings the relevance of Russell Tovey's fistulas, the return of Zachary Quinto's sliminess, metaphors obvious and hidden, and ten-minute scenes where seemingly nothing happens and yet nothing needs to be added.
