C.B. Strike - Career of Evil

This season lost a little bit of focus with the last scenes, and it was a bit too human. I felt that it didn't suit the main character that well, but again I have to admit that I enjoyed the story and the investigation and I was curious to see how it would turn out and who the killer was. The revelation isn't bad at all. I am therefore satisfied. (04/09/2018)

The percentage of the plot devoted to tracking down the criminals starts decreasing in favor of character relationships and the unspoken tension in the air. The ending seemed like it was heading for a certain film with Julia Roberts and Richard Gere (not My Prostitute Lady), but we, who know what a jealous Matthew is like, remain calm about future installments. Shanker’s knife has forcefully kicked the door open in this series, and Holliday Grainger is dangerously starting to morph into Michelle Pfeiffer. (07/31/2023)
