A great French detective series that's atmospheric and makes excellent use of the Ardennes setting. The characters are intriguing, and while the story's progression might not be for everyone, I really enjoyed it. Not every atmospheric detective story needs to follow the same formula, and I appreciated how this one took a slightly different direction. That's why I value The Forest so much and thoroughly enjoyed its six episodes.
