Audience favourite Johnny Depp delivers a wickedly funny performance in Richard Says Goodbye, as a world-weary professor who receives a life-changing diagnosis and decides to make his final chapter the best one ever. With a biting sense of humour, a reckless streak and a touch of madness, he binges through every vice, rebels against authority and hurls insults at anyone who annoys him - giving him more pleasure than he’s had in years. This not-to-be-missed movie co-starring Danny Huston, Rosemarie DeWitt and Ron Livingston is the humorous and heart-felt story of how one man learns to live life to the fullest, at the very moment he’s faced with the end of his journey. English Although The Professor tries to pass itself off as a comedy most of the time, it is ultimately a very moving film, centered on a dying university professor, disarmingly played by Johnny Depp, who drops interesting thoughts about life in between talking. The audience experience is enhanced by beautiful music. (80%) ()

English I’ve become allergic to films whose plot follows the pattern of diagnosis-melodrama-melodrama-death. As if it wasn't bad enough that it's everywhere around me. The theme can appeal to me only if the authors offer an unconventional perspective. Here, it seemed to be working out for quite a while, so the fourth star didn’t get devoured by a tumor until the final third of the film. I enjoyed the acting performance of Johnny Depp, Zoey Deutch was very pleasing to the eye, and I enjoyed the film for the most part. ()
