Much like in episode seven, I wasn't thrilled with the slower pace. Instead of the Lufthansa escapades, the creators gave us a heavy dose of Colombian farming and nature poetry, which felt completely out of place in this series. For the first time while watching Narcos, I felt a hint of boredom.

Rural relax, or a completely different Pablo than what we are used to; hirsute, philosophising about life with fag in his mouth and about 10kg heavier. He’s no longer the machine that breaks regimes and destroys governments. The ending is coming. The scene with Lemon is shocking.
