English A very understated Australian series that I’m really glad I discovered. The quality is definitely thanks to a lot of people (led by Nash Edgerton), but the series stands on one person: Scott Ryan. It’s thanks to him that the entire three-part series came to be, and he is an exceptionally talented actor. Sure, Mr Inbetween can mostly be classified as a successful dark comedy. On the other hand, the dramatic moments certainly do not play second fiddle. Quite the opposite. And in these moments, Ryan truly excels. Whether it’s his storyline with his brother suffering from ALS in its most severe stage or the romantic storyline in the final season, everything is perfected to a T. Yes, the central storyline of contract killings takes the lead. But the human touch of everything else is exactly what makes the series an extraordinary experience. Absolutely fantastic. I really enjoyed it. I give it 8/10. P.S. You’ll also find some of the best shootouts here. I was amazed! ()
