Plots(1)

Upon his release from prison, disgraced former detective Danny Gallagher (Karl Urban) makes a plan to seek revenge for the drug bust that went horribly wrong, claiming the life of his partner and painting him as a bent cop. The search for the truth will lead to an old friend (Andy Garcia), a seductive Federal Agent (Sofia Vergara) and a car-bombing that could be connected to an elaborate, high stakes conspiracy. In the tradition of the classic cop thriller, Bent is fully loaded with action, suspense and enough twists to keep you hooked until the very end. (Defiant Screen Entertainment)

English This film attempts to pay homage to the crime thrillers of the 1990s, but it misses the mark. While it does honor some elements typical of the last century, such as the small revolvers, older gas-guzzling cars, and female characters who are basically cynical bitch beauties or innocent beauties who need to be rescued by the manly protagonist, that doesn't make this almost stylish crime drama a full-fledged film. Urban reminisces about The Bourne Supremacy, Garcia reminisces about The Godfather III and Vergara gets naked, that’s all. ()

English This is an average action thriller with a pretty good crime plot and mainly actors who manage to present it in a way that makes you at least somewhat entertained. I was quite pleasantly surprised by how they handled the scenes where there was shooting or other damage done. You really feel that it might actually hurt and the blood is flowing. ()
