English Michael Douglas and Demi Moore go head-to-head in a battle of sexual harassment accusations. And since Michael is the good guy, it’s no laughing matter. It wasn’t a joke in the 90s, and it’s even less of one now. But it was still a gripping watch. The tension was high, and Barry Levinson couldn’t resist throwing in a few sci-fi elements, even though they were completely unnecessary…but definitely effective. In the end, I have to say, Michael is a legend. Sure, as his lawyer pointed out, he showed a moment of weakness, but we guys know it actually took immense strength. Demi, on the other hand, was absolutely fierce. ()

English Basically a legend of the genre. Barry Levinson is more than a solid craftsman and was able to create a decent and relatively suspenseful thriller from a pumped-up script with plenty of properly spicy scenes (sexual harassment, conversations with lawyers). Demi Moore is extremely attractive and relatively talented as an actress, and here the role of a bitch suits her more than well. And the long-haired tomcat Michael Douglas? He delivers one of his typical roles and again does an excellent job. Even though the film essentially revolves around conversation and the tension is built solely through escalated dialogues, it is definitely worth watching, as evidenced by its relative popularity among viewers and relatively high worldwide earnings.
