Lucie, a young dancer, has only one dream: she wants to join the Bird Dance Company. When she has a serious accident, her parents urge her to focus on her law exams. Lucie refuses to accept defeat and has other plans. She is convinced she needs to work twice as hard and get out of her comfort zone. In Break, the French tried their hand at a dance film, but it comes off as unnecessarily aggressive, tough, and filled with anger—likely a reflection of modern life’s frustrations. It reminded me a bit of Justice's "Stress" music video, but while that video shocked me with its raw intensity, Break feels more like posturing than genuine emotion.
