English The main character, Kimmie, finds himself in an unenviable situation on the threshold of adulthood, having to decide what to do with his life, where to direct it, without causing harm to his loved ones. Outwardly, he looks like a tough guy, but his sensitive soul occasionally flashes through the tough skin. The social drama Goliath doesn't show Swedish society in optimistic colors, it is appropriately raw in a Nordic way, and thanks to the unfamiliar faces, it feels very realistic. Sebastian Ljungblad in particular gives a very convincing performance in the central role. Also noteworthy is the stimulating music, provided by Johan Testad. (80%) ()

English This is a story that could only come from Sweden, the most socially-conscious country in Europe. It's a dark, grim tale about a protagonist trapped in a bleak reality, unable to escape no matter how much he wants to. Set in a dismal industrial area where it's perpetually overcast and gray, this European drama delves into the pressing issues of contemporary Swedish society. And believe me, they have plenty of issues to explore. ()
