Alex Levy anchors The Morning Show, a popular breakfast show broadcast from Manhattan on the UBA network, which has excellent viewership ratings and is perceived to have changed the face of American television. In the first season, after her on-air partner of 15 years, Mitch Kessler, is fired amidst a sexual misconduct scandal, Alex fights to retain her job as top news anchor while sparking a rivalry with Bradley Jackson, a haphazard field reporter whose series of impulsive decisions brings her into a new world of television journalism. English My rating of the first season would have been higher had it not been for the final episode, which I wasn’t too thrilled about. The creators obviously didn't want to upset the supporters of the MeToo movement. Except for the final let down, I had a great time watching, especially enjoying the performance of Reese Witherspoon and Billy Crudup. Not that the rest of the actors weren't good, but these two made the biggest impression on me. With the exception of the tenth episode, I was able to form my own opinion without the creators trying to force theirs on me, and I liked it that way. ()

English First of all, I have to state that American discussions on the #metoo topic are quite beyond me. However, I started watching The Morning Show on the recommendation of my girlfriend and even though I had doubts about the series, by the third episode I was completely euphoric. Excellent cast of actors - you don't see that much in TV series nowadays. Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Steve Carell, Billy Crudup, and Mark Duplass? It almost looks like some producer didn't know what to do with the money, so he broke the piggy bank. However, discussions and topics are opening up here that I wouldn't expect from conservative Americans, and pleasantly surprised me. I'm not giving five stars just because of the ending that opens the door for a second season. Rather, I think this project would suit a standalone conclusion better than a continuation in the form of another season. The biggest surprise is definitely Reese, who you have to perceive as the kind and fair one, but here she occasionally gets so worked up as you would never expect in real life. However, she is greatly impressed by Mark Duplass, watching him is enough to participate in that producer stress with him. A great TV series experience! ()
