English Very interesting story and subject, which deserved to be filmed. I had no idea about a similar story, so the film definitely fulfilled its purpose for me. Immediately after watching, I studied where this Ideal Palace is located and thought that if I ever go abroad again, I would love to visit it. The film was also quite precise in its storytelling, and Jacques Gamblin completely dominated the screen with his portrayal of the self-centered Ferdinand Cheval. However, despite his self-centeredness, the film portrays him quite simply. But that is probably the only criticism in an otherwise very interesting story from France. ()
