English I have really mixed feelings about this series. On the one hand, it was a great insight into the Palestinian-Israeli relations with all the manipulations and political pressures that show how human life doesn't matter; on the other, the creators probably suffered from Alzheimer's because in some episodes they lost track of the previous story, and the result was a bit odd, to put it mildly. 4*- ()

English Extremely powerful and current topic of the relationship between Jews and Palestinians in the middle of Israel started with the first episode quite lukewarmly and confusedly. I even thought that this series might not be completely for me and I had a hundred desires to give up on it. But in the end, I resisted the pressures of mediocrity and started the second episode. It was already clearer and more straightforward. I must even say that the second episode was possibly the peak of the series. Fear of the unknown, tension every moment. However, the quality dropped back to the total average after the fourth episode. I could imagine that the series has even five episodes. The murder is obvious, the investigation is quite fast, and so the only thing that the series has additionally are the thoughts and opinions of Palestinians and Jews in such a problematic country, or what one (two?) faiths can do. Our boys are not completely a crime novel in the end, but rather a statement of two warring camps in one country. I didn't enjoy it much because I didn't understand the extremism of faith at all. However, I am glad that I made it to the tenth episode because the ending was impressive. ()

English The biblical phrase "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth" is perhaps more true on the hot soil of Israel than elsewhere. I must admit that all of this gives me the creeps. Who is actually in the right and who is not? Who to pity and who not to pity? Similar questions and dilemmas related to the topic fill my mind. Still, I have the persistent feeling that if the creators had condensed the plot into six episodes, the whole story would have packed much more of a punch and certainly been more attractive to the audience.
