Home Before Dark

I'll start gently. Do you like Stranger Things? Well, you're in for a treat. Brooklynn Prince may be as smart as a radio, but after the first episode you'll love her and definitely share her enthusiasm for the show. The creators did a great job and made an excellent series that works with children, their intelligence, and brings both murder and an unresolved case from the past into their environment, so the crime story is perfectly woven into children's imagination. All of this takes place in the setting of an initially unremarkable American small town. And even though I could argue that ten episodes were too many, in the end I was satisfied with the story. Perhaps it's a shame with a slightly open ending that offers a lot, so all we can do is wait for the second season, which has been confirmed, so that's great. For the whole range of ideas and atmosphere, not only of the setting but also of children's struggles, this story definitely deserves attention. It was a joy to watch and I admit that at first glance it wouldn't have crossed my mind. A hidden gem on Apple TV. (04/02/2021)
