Plots(1)
An attempt by Renoir to explain the complexities of French collaborationism to an American audience, THIS LAND IS MINE stars Charles Laughton as Albert Maury, a timid, middle-aged school teacher. A citizen of a Nazi-occupied country, he tries not to annoy the authorities. But when he's falsely accused of the murder of Vichyite Georges Lambert George Sanders, he begins to grasp the nature of the tyranny under which he's been living. (official distributor synopsis)
