English Usually, the Poles don’t miss, but this one just didn’t do it for me. The premise, while simple, is told in an unnecessarily complicated way. The atmosphere felt flat, the characters were uninteresting, and overall, it didn’t even feel like it was made by the same people who are usually so good at this stuff. It’s a lackluster teen detective story with a 90s vibe, narrated across two timelines — one being the dull old-school teen angle, and the other set in the present, which is confusing and utterly unengaging. English I’m rather fond of Polish cinema, so I was looking forward to the series, but I had no idea what I was in for. The creators were switching between the two time-planes (it's really trendy now) perhaps too often, making me confused at times, and most of the characters behaved in a very odd way. Plus, I think an excessive number of issues was brought up including murder, missing persons, rape, anti-Semitism, extortion, embezzlement, etc., etc. Based on this list, you’d expect a breathtaking pace, but the opposite was true. The story progressed at the speed of an injured snail doused in honey and condensed milk, so the two-star rating is as high as it gets. ()
