Mansfield is sensational as moll Jerri Jordan to Edmond O'Brien's Marty Murdock, the mobster determined to make her a singing star. My first encounter with Jayne Mansfield, a gorgeous platinum blonde, whom I could probably fall in love with a little more than Marilyn. She is energetic, fun, silly, and yet she has something a little more. But the whole movie, which is simply a crazy comedy, is not completely in the style of crazy, but it certainly comes close thanks to the characters. The Technicolor colors are then just a pleasant addition to this ride, which is hyped up mainly by great rock'n'roll. ()
