English During the first 40 minutes I wondered if I was watching the same film as everyone else, because those long 40 minutes were quite hard to swallow. I certainly can't deny the idea, but I don't see anything else positive in the film, either through the overall flow, where nothing much happens in two hours, or the final statement, which has zero merit and I have no idea what the director wants to say. We have four weird kids, they suddenly discover powers, but unfortunately one of them has childhood trauma, so he starts killing people on sight in a callous manner. The end. That's it. That's all. Mediocre acting, visually it’s classically Nordic, slow in terms of pacing, not much atmosphere and overall below average. I was expecting gritty horror x-men, I got a drama about kids with two gritty scenes and I'm really not happy about that... ()

English A disturbing and original film with children from the cold North, or how horror with the X-men should look like. The screenwriter of Thelma delivers a slowburn social drama with a horror touch. A group of kids from a housing estate, mostly with some kind, discover hidden supernatural abilities (telepathy, telekinesis) and gradually start experimenting with these abilities, and it escalates to an unpleasant conclusion. The film benefits a lot from great child performances (the central little "villain" was really cool), from the unpleasant atmosphere, and there are some shocking scenes (the cat scene is the highlight, but the broken leg is nice to look at). The kids are definitely not as innocent as they look and can be really mean to the people around them. A good film that kept my attention despite its longer running time. Weaker characters will find it harder to digest. Almost a must for fans of Nordic cinema. Story 4/5, Action 2/5, Humour 0/5, Violence 3/5, Fun 3/5 Music 3/5, Visuals 4/5, Atmosphere 4/5, Suspense 3/5, Emotions 3/5, Actors 4/5. 7.5/10. ()
