Lukas (Jack Kane), a young farmer whose family is killed by savage raiders in the countryside, sets out on an epic quest for revenge, forming an unlikely trio with a majestic dragon and a swashbuckling, sword-fighting mercenary, Darius (Joseph Millson). I stumbled upon this film by chance. It was a lazy Saturday morning, nothing else was on, and the title reminded me of the Dragonheart I loved in my youth. To my surprise, it wasn't all that bad. Sure, the script was only loosely connected to logic, and the editing was pretty rough. But given my low expectations, I was pleasantly surprised by the story and the nicely rendered dragon.
