English A decent animated film from Netflix that will mildly please fans of the first live-action series Altered Carbon, but it isn’t groundbreaking. The plot doesn’t bring anything new to the table; the creators didn’t push the envelope much (which is disappointing). What the film excels in is its animation (a unique but charming style) and the action scenes, which don’t hold back on the blood. Plus, it’s just over 70 minutes long, so it flies by quickly. It’s a solid one-off. For me, it’s a 6/10. ()

English A video game from Telltale with a painfully long final fight that delves into mythology only reluctantly and brings almost zero emotional investment to new characters. Takeshi should be the same as he was at the beginning of the series; unfortunately, the inconsistency of his behavior in comparison with both seasons of the TV series is undeniable. I am amazed at how quickly the creators managed to kill a universe that had the potential to become a long-standing fan cult after the first season of the series. ()

English Excellent surprise!! A beautifully done anime from the world of Altered Carbon. For an average second season, this is a pleasant patch. Takeshi Kovacs against the Yakuza in a cyberpunk package, with excellent and polished fights (the choreography is really great in some places) and samurai-ninjas, that's my thing. I also liked the decent dose of gore, with blood spraying abundantly and no shortage of severed limbs. Story-wise, it may not be captivating, but the action side easily makes up for it. A wild ride! 8/10. ()
