I threw this show on as background noise while cooking, and honestly, that was the right call. Little Voice follows Bess King, who’s got talent, a great voice, and a tough life but tries to navigate it with some ease. Unfortunately, the music, which is supposed to be the heart of the show, didn’t grab me at all. It felt really amateurish, which is a shame since everything hinges on it. And it’s not like I have a problem with singer-songwriter vibes, but this one just didn’t hit the mark for me.
