Rose Island

This year is for me a year of Italian films. This year, Italians have convinced me more than once that their films don't have to be just about shouting and temperament. For example, in Rose Island, I didn't find a single explicitly screamed scene. On the contrary, I encountered a good idea and breathtaking processing in some places. The best moment was right at the beginning, where the main character in Imola on the track discovers how to create his own world, with the legendary Hey Joe by Jimmy Hendrix playing in the background. Here, I knew I was watching something unique. And even though the film then had its ups and downs, overall it was a truly successful film event. (12/21/2020)
