Secret Invasion

Marvel has been struggling to catch the wave of success of past years lately. They are making movies and series that are not worth much and only exceed the quality of the most average work from five years ago. The Secret Invasion may start relatively well. Samuel L. Jackson will not disappoint, for sure. However, over time, the story turns into a complete routine without any originality. And, actually, the title theme song, which was entirely created by artificial intelligence, is also without any originality. Only the music has remained somewhat decent. (08/08/2023)

The lapses in logic and the weird handling of the characters ruin the whole thing. What good is a great parallel with disgruntled migrants if it gets lost in the end? What's the point of perfectly timing the Russian border conflict with the war in Ukraine and planting the idea of Putin being a Skrull when whenever it could be potentially interesting everyone starts acting like idiots and knocking the whole thing down? And the CGI-packed finale is utterly pointless. It’s still watchable, but what a shame! (07/26/2023)
