English Outside the Wire is a total mess. Netflix can boast all it wants about releasing a movie every week during the pandemic, but what good is that if they’re putting out stuff like this? The best takeaway from this film was Emily Beecham, and now I definitely need to see her in something more watchable. She barely had any screen time, and honestly, everyone else felt pretty pointless. This is as B-movie as it gets, but even today's B-movie directors can pull off better action. The "high-octane" sequences here just felt like they deserved an eye-roll. ()

English I wouldn’t flush it down the toilet, it had some potential, but director Mikael Håfström has such a bland an unenergetic style that the film never takes off. But the worst is when a film that never managed to catch your interest starts to throw twists somewhere in the middle that are supposed to fool the viewers and make them feel the film is ahead of them. Did it make sense and did all the pieces fall into place (with regards to the motivations of the characters)? Honestly, I don’t know, probably not, but I don’t want to watch it again to make sure.
