Polish cinema usually handles heavy themes much better than this. Even with Bartosz Bielenia, who’s got the kind of presence that should command the screen, the film still ends up feeling like a disjointed mess. The plot is all over the place, with events unfolding randomly, leaving you wondering what the point really is.
