The Voyeurs

I expected something more than an average thriller, one that wouldn’t stand out much from those you can watch every evening on TV. Sure, in terms of the audiovisual aspect, you can see that some money was invested in the project, but the story didn’t really captivate me. The central plot had promising potential, but unfortunately, the creators didn’t bring it to a successful conclusion. Acting-wise, it was decent; Sydney Sweeney definitely opened doors to Hollywood, and Ben Hardy didn’t disappoint either. However, it’s disappointing that the final third of the film, due to all the twists, turned The Voyeurs into a farce, quite literally. I understand that the intention was to shock the audience, but I would have preferred a more sensible ending. So, in summary… It doesn’t offend or impress, but personally, I’d go for something more polished. For me, it’s 4.5/10. (01/13/2022)
