English This British series was a pleasant surprise for me. Jackson Lamb was such a perfect relic of the Cold War that I regretted the first season only had six episodes. I can't wait for the second season. / Lesson learned: You can't teach an old dog new tricks. And why would you want to? 4*+ ()

English When I skip the first two explicitly introductory parts, I have to admit that Slow Horses is a really well-made spy drama which I really enjoyed in the context of this first series. I enjoyed the environment of agents who are sidelined and shuffled into the group of Slow Horses, where no one expects anything from them, nor expects anything, and rather everyone at MI5 is happy when no one knows or hears about them. So actually, they don't expect anything from them at all. And I also enjoyed the tension that this series gradually built up to its climax. The last two episodes, for example, were a top-notch spy thriller. In addition, there is the biggest attraction, the brilliant Gary Oldman as the head of the Slow Horses group, who is a cynic like a pig, plus he is a jerk and looks like he crawled out of a dumpster where he stayed for a week. If you like spy themes, believe me, you just want to see this. ()
