English This British series was a pleasant surprise for me. Jackson Lamb was such a perfect relic of the Cold War that I regretted the first season only had six episodes. I can't wait for the second season. / Lesson learned: You can't teach an old dog new tricks. And why would you want to? 4*+ ()

English After the first two purely introductory episodes, I have to say, Slow Horses is a fantastic spy drama that kept me thoroughly entertained throughout the season. The setting of agents who have been sidelined and relegated to the Slow Horses group, where nothing is expected of them and everyone at MI5 is just happy they’re out of the way, is fascinating. The tension builds beautifully, leading up to an explosive finale, with the last two episodes being a peak spy thriller experience. Gary Oldman steals the show as the leader of the Slow Horses. His character is a cynical mess, looking like he crawled out of a dumpster after a week. If you enjoy espionage stories, trust me, this is a series you don't want to miss. ()
